This skimmer utilizes oleophilic bristles on a brush to recover oil from the water's surface. It is capable of handling many types of oil from light diesel fuel to heavy crude oil. Oil adheres to the brushes and is "combed" from the bristles into a sump. It is typically deployed in open, near coastal or near-shore waters.
