MSRC maintains a robust network of qualified and vetted Spill Team Area Responders (STARs). STARs are specially trained contractors stationed at approximately 250 locations nationwide. The STARs contractor network supplements MSRC’s capabilities and reduces contractor management burden on its customers. These experienced response professionals are an integral part of the MSRC scalable response system.
With the STARs network, MSRC provides:
- Verified Capability – MSRC vets equipment, certifications and management resources of contractors to assure that our customers can rely on their abilities.
- Appropriate Supervision – MSRC’s experienced response managers and coordinators complement contractor management resources, can be scaled to the severity of the incident, and help our customers determine the optimal ration of MSRC and contractor personnel for an efficient and cost-effective response
- Pre-established Pricing – Costs are managed through rate sheets pre-established at the beginning of every year to avoid crisis pricing.
- Centralized, Verified Billing – MSRC validates contractor services billed were rendered in accordance with resources called out during a response.
Through our contractor network, MSRC is able to provide a suite of additional response services, such as waste management, environmental monitoring, response to non-floating oils, man camp build outs and response to hazardous material or chemical spills.
